Los Gatos Strength workouts stress the use of controlled lifting speeds and strict form in an efficient program. Every workout is 30 minutes of full-body strength training, with the emphasis on a high level of effort. We train this way safely by using a combination of free-weight and body weight exercises in conjunction with state-of-the-art machines. There is no jerking, bouncing, or yanking; every contraction is completed with control and purpose.
HISTORY
Established in 2016 Los Gatos Strength was originally named NorCal Strength Studio. We opened Los Gatos Strength because we saw the need for professional trainers that specializes in working with baby boomers, seniors, and anyone who is busy, but doesn’t have the time to spend hours on end in the gym. We know the benefits of our proven system. We tailor your workout to fit your needs and we make sure we do not waste your time and money, in something that does not work. We love empowering seniors and getting them out and feeling confident that they can still do the things they want to do, without being held back because of (Sarcopenia) age related muscle loss.

For a long time, I had been looking for a trainer who understood HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). Even though I have had several trainers in the past, no one understood that concept very well. I found Pat/NorCal a few months back and have been very happy with them. In as little as 20-30 minutes session per week. you get the same or better results than spending hours in a gym on a treadmill. Pat makes my fitness as his own goals and trains me accordingly. My wife and I both truly enjoy working with Patrick Ycaro on keeping our older bodies (Both over 70 years old) in shape). We just finished our first 12 week session and will be renewing again. While it is very important to have strength training at all ages, it is even more important to do it under the guidance of a professional that has your best interests and safety at heart.

I go for an intense 20-minute weekly regimen under the guidance of Patrick. I was skeptical about the benefit of doing only 30 minutes of exercise. But I will admit that after 6 months of visiting this place. I feel stronger and continue to be pleasantly surprised by myself, as I see myself doing things I couldn't do easily even a year ago!
Patrick's style is one of gently pushing your body to get used to increasingly heavier loads, but at the same time not being a drill sergeant, and expecting you to be superman from the get go.
